Our three professional podiatrists are all members of the College of Podiatry and are HCPC registered.
Julie Robinson - Julie, or Joules as she likes to be known, qualified as a chiropodist in 1999 and has worked here at Helston Chiropody two days a week for most of her career. She has lots of experience with all aspects of general chiropody, including diabetic foot care (including Doppler tests), corns, calluses and verrucae, ingrown nails and fungal infections. Joules is also experienced in the LCN Pedique nail reconstruction, creating prosthetic nails to cover badly damaged and unsightly nails.
Carl Bicknell - Carl qualified in 1995 with distinction. He worked for the NHS in Darbyshire and Nottinghamshire for many years before returning to Cornwall and has been with us in Helston, one day a week, since 2009. As well as being an expert in general chiropody Carl can offer more specialist advice and treatment in the field of biomechanics which can be the source of many foot and lower leg problems and he can liaise closely with our colleagues at the Kernow Pain Clinic (www.kernowpainclinic.co.uk).
Ellie Daynes - Ellie qualified in 2019. She grew up in Gloucestershire and was a sailing and ski instructor for many years before changing direction and training as a podiatrist. She gained her degree at Plymouth University and now lives in Helston with her family.
